PADI Open Water Diver Course
The
PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular dive program in the
world.
Once you've qualified as a PADI Open Water Diver, you and a buddy
are able to dive anywhere in the world.
It is your ticket to a lifetime of under water adventure ...
The duration of the Open Water Diver Course is 4 days and the course
starts every Saturday at 9.00h.
We'll spend the first two days in our dive school here at La Santa
taking you through both theory and pool sessions, where we review
the basic fundamentals of diving.
The theory involves some self-study (the PADI Open Water manual),
five video modules, tuition, quizzes and a simple exam.
The
pool sessions, conducted in the leisure pool here at La Santa, allow
you to practice the skills that you will be using in The Ocean.
The remaining two days of the course are spent in Puerto del Carmen,
on the south of The Island, practicing your new found skills during
your first four open water dives which complete your Open Water certification.
The
first two dives are to a maximum depth of 12 metres, and dives three
and four to a maximum depth of 18 metres.
Prior to your Open Water Dives, you will need to have a diving
medical.
There is a PADI Junior Open Water programme available if you
are aged between 12 and 14.
Minimum age 12 years ( PADI JUNIOR SCUBA DIVER )
In addition you are also required to have a copy of
the PADI Open Water manual, available from La Santa Diving for 30
Euros Incl. IGIC.
